Welcome to Esportseries.net!
Do you dream of a career as a sim driver? You've come to the right place!
Don't you know how to start your career? You opened the right document!
We have prepared an introduction to the eRanking system that manages your career as a sim driver.
Here is a mini-guide to retrieve it
Yes, and if you don't pick one, you'll be assigned one of your own.
You enter it HERE, reading the conditions for the choice.
No, once you choose it, it will be your number forever on Esportseries.net.
You have to decide, first of all, whether to acquire a discount package (advantageous for those who want to participate in more than one championship), or subscribe to the single championship or even to the single race. The article "Enrolment methods and opportunities" could be very useful for you.
Yes, you can download the compact version in PDF format or view the extended google version.
Esporseries.net is a community managed completely free of charge by a group of simracing enthusiasts. Every euro donated is of vital importance to meet the expenses: management of the hosting service and game servers, purchase of prizes, purchase of plug-ins necessary for the semi-automated management of some parts of the site and auxiliary tools and applications for the organization of the championships (TeamSpeak, SimSync Pro, etc.).
The registration consists of two phases:
- the donation to acquire the discount package: click on the package that suits you, then click on "registration", enter the required data and then click on "Select tickets", then enter the number of tickets (1 if you buy the package only for you) and make the donation;
- the registration to the single championships included in the package: click on the championship, then click on "registration", enter the required data and then click on "Select tickets", then enter the number of tickets (in this case 1) in the field corresponding to "championship package", finally, when you open the paypal page, skip the donation by closing it.
Championship subscriptions are opened one week after the start of pre-qualifying and if the championships are not on the list, don't worry, your donation has been memorized, but having divided the season into three parts, we will activate the registrations for these championships at the right time.
Registration and donation, in this case, are contextual: select the championship from the list, then click on "registration", enter the required data and then click on "Select tickets", then, if you want to register for the entire championship, enter the number of tickets (1 if you buy the package only for you) in the field corresponding to "championship package", or enter the number of tickets (1 if you buy the single event only for you) in the field of the race you are interested in participating in, then send the registration form. You will be redirected to the paypal page to make the donation.
Your drivers must be registered on the site and, after you have made the donation, they will have to register for the single championship, skipping the donation.
You must have:
- a Desktop PC that meets the minimum requirements of the simulator;
- the original version of the supported simulator (at the moment Running Setup or rFactor 2)
- steering wheel and pedal;
- headphones with integrated microphone.
Yes, the following software is required:
SimSync Pro (synchronizer of the content needed for the esportseries.net championships) together with the configuration .ini file.
Yes, the General Rules and Regulations apply and condensed in a mini-guide to the correct use of TeamSpeak.
The access data to the community channel can be found in the mini-guide.
You will have the right to participate in all the pre-qualifying sessions of each race purchased, but to have access to the qualifying and race sessions, you will have to be among the 26 fastest sim drivers, you will have to make 15 minimum laps (validated by the ptracker), and you will have to give confirmation of participation. There are exceptions to these requirements, specified in the Championship Regulations.
It is a possibility that, although it is quite remote (given the wide range of championships available), is to be taken into account. In this case, you will be considered "reserve" (in special cases, "wild card") and you will only be able to take part in the competition if slots are available.
To give way to the drivers beyond the 26th position to have a chance to participate, in case of absence of some prequalified driver who can not take part in the race and to give way to the Race Direction to form the entry list, without overloading the clients of cars that will not be used, but which are also preloaded in memory.
By the end of prequalification.
At this address, you will find the list of races for which the confirmation form is active. Once you have opened the race you are interested in, click on "Register" and save.
If in doubt, we strongly advise against doing so because if there are more than 26 confirmed drivers, you will incur penalties in the next championship race.
The general rules are contained in the General Regulations;
The rules of conduct on the track are contained in the Code of Conduct.
The championship rules are contained in the Championship Rules; each championship has its own rules, but except for a few detailed rules (which is always good to know), most are shared between the various championships. By way of example, we propose the Rules of the FC2 Championship.
Apart from the donation (which can be cumulative or made for each driver) and the registration (which must always be made by the individual sim drivers), the Team must:
- communicate your representative or team manager, in the post called "Team - T.M. communication or team representative" of the forum dedicated to the championship in question (the representative may be different from championship to championship). This phase is of vital importance because only the team manager or team representative will have the opportunity to communicate the change of the base pair that brings points to the team;
- compile the list of drivers who will participate in the championship (even if only for one race) and the "base pair" that will be used for the calculation of the team score, in the post called "Team - Communication drivers participants and TEAM base pair" of the forum dedicated to the championship in question;
- communicate, race by race, the possible "Change drivers pair by Team score" in the forum dedicated to the championship in question;
There is no limit, but the drivers who will go to points will be only two: the "base pair" or a pair chosen race by race and communicated before the end of the pre-qualifying of each event.
The penalty system acts on the championship points totalized in the race, through the retreat in terms of fictitious positions (the final ranking of the race does not change, but the penalized driver does not take full score and in serious cases, he may suffer the zero score or disqualification). For more information, please refer to Chapter 11 of the General Rules and Regulations.
We believe that the penalty system in terms of time is only effective and fair if the penalty is imposed during the course of the race. In this case the result can be influenced by the time the penalty is given and by the presence of the other drivers on the track, so this system would certainly be fairer than a penalty given in terms of positions. However, since all the penalties are given after the race, giving them in terms of time loses its meaning, because the same penalty, for example 15 seconds, could be ineffective or too effective. Applying the penalties in terms of fictitious retreat positions is also possible to apply a completely objective and effective mathematical system always in the same way.
For the purposes of the championship score none, but the disqualification is much heavier in terms of eRanking and sRanking scores.
For two reasons: because we believe that sim racing should be a school, especially for young people, and because on esportseries we prefer to emphasize correctness on the track, rather than a good result obtained incorrectly.
It represents the only officially admitted form, to request the evaluation of an episode by the race management.
More information can be found in Chapter 10 of the General Regulations and in the various Championship Regulations.
