Terms and Conditions of UseCONDITIONS GOVERNING THE USE OF THE SERVICES OFFERED BY THIS WEBSITE
Meaning of Community and Acceptance of the Here Presented ConditionsEsportseries.net is a community dedicated to sim-racing. All registered users, regardless of their gender, age, social status or team membership, must strive to achieve the goals here presented. As its main goal, Esportseries.net wishes to offer all teams and private entries the possibility to take part in a wide array of highly competitive leagues and events, while showing professionalism and sportsmanship. Esportseries.net strives to guarantee the professionalism of its governing body (administrators, race directors, race stewards, commentators and PR executives), aiming on the competence and impartiality of the parties involved. All decisions taken by the Administration and/or by the Race Direction are final and indisputable, as they are all tacitly accepted when registering to the website and to the ongoing event. Complaints regarding all Staff and/or Race Direction members will not be tolerated. The Administration enjoys full freedom in choosing and replacing all race directors and stewards, without additional notice. Esportseries.net considers sim-racing equivalent to any other real-life amateur sport. All participants must show good sportsmanship at all times: on track, on the forums, on social networks, on TeamSpeak, on Discord and on any other channel being made available by the organisers. All participants are expected to show the utmost respect towards administrators, moderators, staff members, race directors and race stewards, who dedicate their time and expertise in ensuring the correct development of all events and series organised. Members breaching any of the points presented in this document (or any other normative document written by Esportseries.net) might be subject to a penalty, which severity will depend on the sim-driver's history and the offence they committed.
Terms and Conditions of RegistrationEsportseries.net records the information you enter (such as given name, last name, email address...) the moment you create an account. Your IP address, your cookies and other data will be recorded every time you perform an action on Esportseries.net, such as writing a message on the forums or commenting an article. By creating an account on Esportseries.net, you are aware that some data might be elaborated and used by other websites (such as Google Analytics) for purposes unrelated to the activities offered by Esportseries.net. By registering on our website, you will be deemed to have accepted all terms here presented, including the processing of personal data as described by our privacy policy.
SignupsEntrants are given the possibility to sign up for a single race or a single championship. Alternatively, they can also purchase a multi-championship bundle. Signing up for a single race is possible starting from a few days (generally a week) before the start of the pre-qualifying session, until the end of this very same pre-qualifying session. Signups for championships (or special events) will be opened one week before the start of the pre-qualifying session of the first race of the season (or the scheduled special event), and will close at the end of this very same pre-qualifying session. Purchasing multi-championship bundles allows users to participate in all (or selected) series included in the bundle. Bundles may only be available for purchase for a limited amount of time. Purchasing a multi-championship bundle or signing up for a complete championship gives users a 15% to 50% discount (this amount is specified in the related signup form) over a race-by-race subscription.
Purpose and Nature of DonationsIn order to maintain both the website and the game servers, as well as to organise prize-giving championships and single events, and to provide quality broadcasts, Esportseries.net relies for the most part on the generosity of its users. Donations are purely voluntary and not refundable, providing a financial aid to the website's activities and management. All donations are subject to a commission fee which varies depending on the service chosen. This amount is paid to the service used and is not collected by the Esportseries.net staff. The Esportseries.net administrators are not required to make public the total amount of donations received.
Relations Between Users and OrganizersBy registering to the website, all sim-drivers are expected to unconditionally accept any decision taken by the Race Direction regarding noted or reported racing incidents which occurred throughout an event. By signing up to any championship or race, all teams and sim-drivers are expected to unconditionally accept any decision taken by the Esportseries.net Staff resulting in a revision of the eRating system, whether mid-season or between one season and the other. By signing up to any championship or race, all teams and sim-drivers are expected to unconditionally accept any decision taken by the Esportseries.net Staff resulting in a revision of the licence system (Safety Ranking), even mid-season. Please note that such system allows or precludes players to take part in specific racing series, meaning its eventual revision may strip some users of their previously earned privileges. Teams and sim-drivers are also expected to accept any changes to the race format or schedule, including eventual (pre)qualification systems, as long as these changes are announced before registration for the specific championship is open. By signing up to any championship or race, all teams and sim-drivers are expected to unconditionally accept any decision taken by the Esportseries.net Staff resulting in a revision of any of its normative documents (i.e. Terms and Conditions of Use, Code of Conduct, General Regulations and Championship Specific Regulations).
Potential Changes due to External FactorsThe Esportseries.net portal aims to be an assembly point where the efforts of all parties interested in making sim-racing grow can meet and cooperate. All users are expected to accept any changes to rules, regulations and organisational structures as a consequence of new collaborations, as long as they are announced ahead of time.
Forum and Chat Acceptable Use PolicyDeprecating remarks about other sim-drivers, administrators, staff members or Race Directors will not be tolerated. Users breaching this rule of civil coexistence will be punished according to the severity of their declarations. A zero-tolerance policy will be enforced upon members who prove unable to interact with other people in a civil and polite way. The Esportseries.net Staff reserves the right to edit the following document at its sole discretion, when believed to be necessary. All users will be notified of the changes, and will be asked to agree to the new terms.
